The SY016 is a self contained 20 bit digital amplifier which provides excitation for up to four 350Ω bridges and takes 48000 measurements per second.
The amplifier's fully differential input allows it to work in both tension and compression. The built in microcomputer calculates a temperature compensated signed 20 bit value directly proportional to the load. Calibration parameters are stored in non-volatile EEPROM.
The unit's serial connection is either RS232 or RS485 and the averaged data is transmitted at 400 readings per second if using Dos and 200 readings per second restricted by Windows operating systems.
SY016 comes complete with free PC Software with a virtual on screen instrument which enables the user to set zero offsets, temperature offset and coefficients. Peak and trough facilities are available. When the unit is calibrated to the transducer(s) data can be captured and logged at timed intervals to suit user requirements. The data can be viewed in real time or logged to the PC for later analysis.
The SY034 USB, and SY036 digital amplifiers are alternatives to the SY016. weight cased 100gms
