| Q. What are you doing to combat credit card fraud ? |
| Ans. This is a subject close to
our heart as we have been scammed by these online fraudsters
in the past. To help protect you and us against these
people, we have modified our ordering system. We don't
take credit cards on line. If we need to confirm with
you that your order is genuine, we will call you by telephone.
We thank everybody for their understanding and co-operation
in helping us to eliminate credit card fraud. None of
your details will ever be given to any third-party companies
except to investigate a credit card fraud.
We also don't except orders if you use a Yahoo or any other free web-based e-mail addresses as these are sometimes used to try and fraud us. If you have access to the internet then you should have an real e-mail address from your ISP. |
| Q. What are deliveries like? |
| Ans. Most items, especially the scales and potentiometers are ex-stock. Subject to availability at time of order and payment terms. |
| Q. How much are postage and packing costs? |
| Ans. Items are delivered using Next day Carriers and incur a delivery charge of £11.00, no matter how many items are ordered. Units that weigh over 25kg are charged at £26.00. Timed and international deliveries are variable and will be charged at time of order. |
| Q. Which is the best way to find the product I'm interested in? |
| Ans. There are many ways of searching
for products on this site. The Products menu at the top
left of this window gives access to a list of our products
categorised by type / application. If you know the capacity
or resolution that you require, then you can use the pull
down menus on the right hand side (under the heading "Search")
to search by these criteria.
You can also search by keywords; for example, if you are interested in products that can be used for weighing jewellery, just type in the word "jewellery" in the search box, and a list of relevant products will be displayed. Searching for features of a balance, such as 'density determination' will also return the relevant products. |
| Q. I don't want to give my credit card details over the internet - can I telephone you with them? |
| Ans. Yes - if you would rather give
your details to a human being over the phone, please ring
our order line on 01424 200722( please note: This number
is for telephone orders only, any enquiries please e-mail)
If for any reason you can't get through you can e-mail
us, on our enquiry page, with your name, number and a
time which is best for you and someone will call you back. |

| Ans. Yes they are - please check
out our Privacy Policy for more

| Q. I don't have a credit card - how else can I pay? |
| Ans. If you have a UK £ sterling
account then you can pay by cheque, please make cheques
or postal orders payable to Inscale Ltd. You can also pay by cash (recorded delivery only),
postal orders and bank deposit/transfer. Simply add the
product you wish to purchase to your basket, fill in your
details, choose your payment method then press the send
order button, once you have completed these steps send
payment via post. For bank deposit or transfer the details
are as follows: HSBC, Inscale Sort code: 402318 Account
number: 31850725. As soon as we receive payment we will

| Q. I need a scale for my shop does it need to be Trade Approved? |
| Ans. Retail scales need to be Trade Approved if you sell by weight. Details regarding the Law can be obtained from your local weights and measures department. You can contact them through your local council offices. Note: if you do not sell by weight then you do not need Trade Approved scales. |
| Q. How do I get an invoice or VAT receipt? |
| Ans. Inscale has a strict policy of providing a commercial invoice for all orders received. If you pay by credit or debit card we attach the top copy of the receipt to a 'paid' invoice. Our VAT number is clearly shown on our invoice document. This document is sent regardless of you requiring a receipt of payment. In some cases you will receive this invoice prior to your goods; this is because all card payments are processed at the time of order. |
